How to Change Copyright Text in WordPress?

The copyright text is at the bottom of the site. To change the copyright text or footer text you will need a to edit and the footer PHP file of your WordPress Theme. Make a backup copy, and copies along the way, just in case you want to take a step back from the changes you made.

Change Copyright Text in WordPress

Log into your WordPress Admin panel.
Click the Editor link on the Appearance section of the navigation to the left.
On the right-hand side, click the Footer link to edit the footer.php page.
Find the code that displays the footer text at the bottom.Edit the file.
Click Update.
